Healthcare Program
Our healthcare program is saving lives by providing access for much-needed care. In 2019, we built the Nyiroundit Medical Clinic, which opened in 2020 in Aweil, South Sudan. It now serves as a vital healthcare hub for thousands of families with the population of 132,000 people who have access to the clinic.

We are saving Lives and empowering communities in Aweil, South Sudan. The Nyiroudit Medical Clinic is a cornerstone of the Brother Deng Foundation’s mission to provide essential healthcare to those who need it most. Since opening our doors in 2020, we have grown from a vision into a lifeline for thousands, delivering critical medical services in a region where access to healthcare is often scarce.
Our Impact
Treated Patients
We are proud to report that our clinic has treated 11,103 patients to date with zero fatalities.
Vulnerable Members
Our work focuses heavily on the most vulnerable members of our community, with 78% of our patients being women and children.
Weekly Assistance
On average, our dedicated staff cares for 107 patients every week, ensuring that illness does not stand in the way of a brighter future.
Comprehensive Care
& Services
Our clinic operates with a compassionate team, including a doctor, a doctor’s assistant, and a reception nurse. We provide a range of vital services designed to address the specific health challenges of our region.

We employ both daytime and nighttime midwives to ensure women have professional support to deliver healthy babies safely, around the clock.

Fighting malaria is one of our top priorities. We provide malaria testing equipment and have distributed 1,000 bed nets for prevention.

The clinic is equipped with 12 beds to monitor and treat patients who require extended care.

We maintain a steady supply of medications to treat common and severe illnesses, supported by a rigorous logistics network that transports supplies to the
clinic every six months.

● $5 - Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs) allow medical staff to quickly identify malaria and begin treatment.
● $5 - Long-lasting insecticide-treated bed nets (LLINs) protect families from mosquito bites, which is the primary source of malaria transmission.
● $20 - Supports malaria testing, treatment, and prevention.
● $10 - Artemisinin-Based Combination Therapies (ACT) are the frontline medications used to cure malaria.
